Our ever-growing debating community takes great pride in its 20 years working in Argentina. In 1996, a small group of educators, spurred by the excitement of and dedication to the new generations and their preparation for the challenges of the future, embarked in a great adventure: the creation of an institution in Argentina that would allow the learning of argumentation and oratory in a dynamic and engaging way.
20 years later, what started as a merely local activity with a few secondary schools, has been transformed into the basal stone on which all debate activities in our country have developed.
20 years later, we are extremely proud to carry out numerous debate activities oriented to NGOs, governmental organisms, universities and schools; as well as to exercise the official representation of Argentina at the international parliamentary debate championships.
Throughout the years, we have enriched our team incorporating a diverse and charismatic group of excellent individuals, who tirelessly work and altruistically dedicate their time and effort to make this two-decade dream come true and keep growing, reaching every time more and more students.
That is why once again, like in 2004, we are thrilled to receive in our country the debate community of the Americas, to make them an active part of our dream to promote understanding through public dialogue.

LETTER FROM THE CHIEF ADJUDICATORS
Dear Pan-American Debating Friends
For several years now the Argentine debating community has been one of the most active actors in the Pan-American scene. Our delegations have been very numerous, involving proactive students who debated in English, Spanish and –most recently- French. Moreover, our members have taken part in the very making of the Pan-American Debating Organization and the championships themselves.
Today, our community has taken one step forward, facing the challenge of being the host of a debating event of the prestige and magnitude of the Pan-American Debating Championship.
Our commitment as CAs is to deliver a top quality tournament, not only in the methods enforced to ensure maximum precision in the processing of scores and results, but also in the training of both local and international judges.
Moreover, and most importantly, we will provide a dynamic tournament in which students debating in all three languages -English, French and Spanish- enjoy high standards of competition and evaluation.
Lastly, our aim is to closely work with the Motions Committee – specially selected on the basis of experience and proficiency in debate, as well as representativeness of the diversity in the Americas- to choose and select motions that are relevant to our students and all of our member nations.
